Fantasies and Flutes

This April 26 let Flute Street guide you through a world of fabulous musical fantasy. From Fauré’s popular Fantasie and Handel’s Concerto in G minor for piccolo performed by guest artist, Laurel Swinden, (recording artist and principal flutist of the Stratford Symphony), to the Canadian première of Daniel Cueto’s Fantasìa Oriunda, this concert promises you an afternoon diversion of delightful escape. Included on the program will be Sweelinck’s Echo Fantasy and the complete hypnotic masterpiece by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis.
